I have been here for a couple of days now and it is gorgeous.  Today I got so spend some time watching the Red Kites flying overhead and down the valley.  They really are graceful and beautiful birds.

On the first day I was here however the RAF decided to do a fly past at low level.  Apparently they do this below us in the valley.  All I know is that I was in the van and wasn’t expecting it.  Made me jump big time and I am used to fast jets making lots of noise from my time at RAF Coningsby.

The weather is behaving itself far better than I should ever expect.  However on the way here it did chuck it down just after I crossed over the border into Wales.  This is the usual welcome most English come to expect when travelling to Wales though….
